The twin towns of Yarrawonga-Mulwala, separated by the Murray River, boast a large and beautiful man-made lake and attract holiday makers, golfers, anglers, aquatic sports fanatics, bush walkers and campers.
Yarrawonga-Mulwala always offers a warm welcome. Known as Sun Country it features plenty of sunshine and a bright open landscape. Pretty sandy beaches along the river offer quiet swimming spots on a warm day and canoes are available for hire to explore the backwaters and lagoons. Alternatively, take a cruise or some waterskiing lessons on Lake Mulwala.
Play a round of golf on the largest public access golf course in Australia, with 45 holes on two championship courses and a nine-hole executive course.
Yarrawonga-Mulwala is also a strong farming area and much of the local produce is available from the farm gate. Pick up a Farm Gate Trail brochure from the local Visitor Information Centre.
